Cupping Notes: Brown Sugar, Clove, Raisin, Butterscotch, Peach, Floral, Chocolate

This is a very limited quantity microlot coming from the small local farmers of Urrao, Colombia. The blend consists of South American heirloom varietals, Caturra, and some that are thought to be a regression of Caturra. The farmers that produced these beans have worked extremely hard to create this exceptional coffee and receive a premium for their work. We see this pay off in the cup with a complex collection of notes including brown sugar, clove, raisin, butterscotch, and peach cobbler. Floral accents come out as the cup cools, which is unique for Colombian coffees.

This coffee is roasted and shipped every Monday. We ship all coffees via 2-Day shipping so that it will arrive to you as the coffee is entering the peak of it's flavor profile. Most coffees taste somewhat flat for the first 24 - 48 hours after the roast. During this phase, our coffee is in transit to you. By the time you receive it, it should be entering the peak consumption time that will last around 10 - 14 days.
