If you are shopping for a coffee lover, there are a lot of great gift options to choose from. There are numerous brewing devices and accessories that your coffee enthusiast would love to get ahold of. Each of these devices can change the way the coffee tastes and add some variety to the morning ritual.
Hario V60 Coffee Dripper ($25 - $50)
This beautiful Japanese made pour over coffee device brews some of the most delicious coffee you will ever taste. The Hario V60 Dripper comes with its own 12g measuring scoop. You can use the V60 Dripper to brew one cup at a time right over your mug or with the companion Hario 600ml V60 Range Server to brew 1 - 4 cups at a time. Make sure to include the Hario V60 02 Size Paper Filters.
Chemex ($50 - $60)
The Chemex is one of the most beautiful brew systems and one that I think makes perhaps the best coffee. Chemex produces a 3, 6, 8, and 10 cup version of the brew system. Make sure to pickup the required Chemex filters.
Yama Glass Cold Brew System
Bodum French Press Coffee Maker ($40)
The beautiful Bodum French Press coffee maker will brew a sweet and bold flavored coffee. This device contains a built-in and reusable dishwasher safe filter system.
Hario Electric Kettle ($72)
The Japanese made Hario Electric Kettle will quickly heat water to be used in a variety of manual coffee brewing methods. The precision spout enables for accurate control of dispersion of the water into the brewing system. This is important in pour-over brewing methods such as the Hario V60 or Chemex to ensure that the water enters the center of the grounds. This produces a superior coffee than a less accurate water pouring system.
Aeropress Coffee & Espresso Maker ($27)
The Aeropress Coffee and Espresso Maker is an inexpensive and unique coffee brewing system invented by Alan Adler in 2005. It brews coffee from that is ready to drink in about 60 seconds. It brews an espresso strength style of coffee that is low in acidity and bitterness. It is also ultra-portable and is great used in the kitchen, office, or on camping excursions.
Baratza Encore Burr Grinder ($129)
Brewing great coffee depends as much on the grinder as it does on the brewing method and coffee itself. The Baratza Encore Conical Burr Grinder is a fantastic lower cost grinder option that will enable consistent grinding for both coffee and espresso. The Baratza can even be re-calibrated from it's default settings to be used in finer espresso grinds if desired. For an even lower cost high quality grinder, the Hario Ceramic Coffee Mill ($31), will produce a consistent grind using manual effort.
